Online vs In-Person Consultation: Does Accuracy Change?
Does a video consultation read your chart any less accurately than sitting across a desk? An honest answer from years of doing both.
Quick answer
The accuracy of Vedic marriage astrology remains consistent regardless of the medium because planetary positions are calculated solely from birth details. Online consultations offer the same precision as in-person meetings, as the birth chart, divisional structures, and planetary periods do not change. Technical depth and the astrologer's expertise are the true determinants of a reading's success, rather than physical proximity.

This question comes up almost daily now, usually from families outside Delhi NCR or living abroad. "Sir, will an online reading be as accurate as coming to you in person?"
My answer is straightforward: the accuracy of a reading depends on the birth details and on the astrologer, not on the distance between us.
Does the chart change online?
No. Your kundli is calculated from your date, time and place of birth. Those three values produce exactly the same planetary positions whether I open the chart in front of you or on a video call. The dasha sequence, the Navamsa, the transits — all identical.
What a face-to-face meeting adds is atmosphere, not information. Some families find comfort in it, and that comfort has its own value. But it does not alter a single degree in the chart.
Where online consultations are genuinely better
- You can prepare calmly. Your birth records, family notes and questions are with you at home rather than half-remembered in a waiting room.
- Both families can join from different cities on the same call, which matters a great deal in matching discussions.
- Nothing is rushed. No travel, no fixed queue, no watching the clock.
- You keep a record. Notes taken at your own desk are usually better than notes taken in someone else s office.
For clients in the Gulf, Singapore, the UK, the US, Australia and across India, this is now the normal way we work.
Where in-person still helps
Two situations, honestly:
- When an elder in the family is not comfortable with a screen and would rather speak in the room.
- When physical items such as a gemstone are being examined and handed over.
Everything else — chart analysis, matching, timing, remedies — works identically on a call.
What actually decides accuracy
Not the medium. These four things:
- Correct birth time. The single biggest factor. A doubtful time needs rectification first.
- Depth of analysis — divisional charts, dasha, transits, not just a Guna score.
- Clarity of your question. A precise question gets a precise answer.
- Honesty of the astrologer. Willingness to say "this part of the chart is not strong" and to refuse guarantees nobody can give.
How our consultations run
Sessions are conducted online by video, one to one, at a scheduled time. You send your birth details in advance, we go through the chart together on screen, and you receive practical guidance and remedies you can begin immediately. Everything discussed stays confidential.
You can generate your kundli here and book a consultation at a time that suits your family, wherever you are.
